Hello students.
00:01
Now in this question they're asking the mechanism by which you will analyze the effect of temperature on the enzyme activity.
00:10
First of all, in this case, what we will observe is that if we take a graph wherein enzyme activity is the y axis and temperature being the x axis, then in this case we will observe that as temperature increases the enzyme activity, will also increase and that is only up to a point right after which it will decrease right so this is what you will observe and that decrease that you will observe will be a little more towards the sharp end right so if we observe in this case the straight line if we draw straight line here around this point you're observing that it is the maximum activity at this particular temperature, right? so, at what temperature is it most active if we have to say, it will be at optimum temperature.
01:13
At what temperature do you observe the maximum activity of the enzyme? it would be the optimum temperature, right? so, coming to the first question again.
01:26
Here, if we observe the effect of temperature on enzyme activity, how will you explain it? you will just tell that as temperature increases or as temperature is increased, activity of the enzyme or enzyme activity will increase.
01:46
And this occurs up to a certain temperature which is known as the optimum temperature, right? after the optimum temperature, if you are going to increase the temperature further, then the enzyme will denature.
02:06
So the activity will be nullified, right? so the enzyme will denature in this case.
02:14
Right.
02:15
So that will be the answer for our first question.
02:19
And for the second question, we have already determined the answer in this case...
