If a person used exogenous testosterone, i.e. they injected testosterone, to help with athletic training or with muscle growth, what would you predict to happen with the male reproductive system? A The libido (sexual drive) will increase but the ability to develop an erection will decline. B Testosterone production by nurse cells located in the pituitary gland will decline. C Injected testosterone will inhibit GnRH (gonadotropin releasing hormone) release from the hypothalamus which will decrease endogenous production of FSH, LH, and ultimately testosterone. D Injected testosterone stimulates bone and muscle growth. This will not limit endogenous production of testosterone since there is no negative feedback loop with injected drugs.
