Activity 3: Cellect and Seiect TIME IS EVERYTIING meaningless activities. If we take care of time, other thimps we will the care of themelves satiotratically, (c) We all frow in ume, live in the tume and die in tisse But pear men and womea of the wortl4 whike the use of time in ther best possible way. They know how precius is time. Every mimute is valuable for them and wo they take good care of it and so leave their footprins ou the Sande of Time. They kenios that "time and bide Wat for none" and that "tume ouse last can never be recovernd". Introduction: Body: Conclunion:

It is a constant, unchanging force that governs our lives. We are born, we grow, we live, and we die, all within the confines of time. Yet, many of us fail to realize the importance of time and how it can shape our lives. Show more…

A state trooper is hidden 30 feet from a highway. One second after a truck passes, the angle θ between the highway and the line of observation from the patrol car to the truck is measured. See the illustration. Complete parts (a)-(c). (a) If the angle measures 18°, how fast is the truck traveling? Express the answer in feet per second and in miles per hour. If the angle measures 18°, the speed of the truck is 92.33 feet per second. (Do not round until the final answer. Then round to two decimal places as needed.) If the angle measures 18°, the speed of the truck is 63 miles per hour. (Use the answer from part (a) to find this answer. Round to one decimal place as needed.) (b) If the angle measures 25°, how fast is the truck traveling? Express the answer in feet per second and in miles per hour. If the angle measures 25°, the speed of the truck is feet per second. (Do not round until the final answer. Then round to two decimal places as needed.)

Heliotropism is the description of a response to the light of the sun. Seedlings of sunflowers were exposed to sunlight for 15 days. Following the 15 days of exposure to sunlight, the seedlings were transferred to complete darkness and their movement was monitored. This graph plots the movement of the seedlings in the dark versus time. What conclusion can be drawn about the light dependence of the movement of sunflowers from the graph? a. The movement does require light once it is set but it will eventually slow down, suggesting that a “clock” molecule is degraded over time. b. The movement does not require light once it is set and it will keep showing this upward and downward trend in the same manner. c. The movement does not require light once it is set and it will eventually slow down, suggesting that a “clock” molecule never degrades. d. The movement does not require light once it is set and it will eventually slow down, suggesting that a “clock” molecule is degraded over time.
How much time do you spend on hygiene/grooming in the morning (including showering, washing face and hands, brushing teeth, shaving, and applying makeup)? The bar graph shows the time American adults spend on morning grooming. (Bar Graph can't copy) a. Write the data for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 40 minutes as ordered pairs $(x, y),$ where $x$ is the time spent on morning grooming and $y$ is the percentage of American adults spending that much time on grooming. b. The three data points in part (a) can be modeled by the quadratic function $y=a x^{2}+b x+c,$ where $a<0$. Substitute each ordered pair into this function, one ordered pair at a time, and write a system of linear equations in three variables that can be used to find values for $a, b,$ and $c .$ It is not necessary to solve the system.
