ANYONE can live in Rocklin or ANYWHERE it is hot... we just need CULTURAL ADAPTATION to ensure we make up for what we don't have biologically. Which would be cultural adjustments everyone could make to survive a hot summer with lots of UV rays and heat? [Think of what YOU do?!] Drinking lots of water Stay in the air conditioning Sunblock/sun protection Wear light clothing All of the above (come back soon, rain!!! :)

Animals that live in very dry climates (like Death Valley) have many adaptations that help them survive. Which of the following is NOT one of these adaptations? Migrating to higher cooler environments during the hottest season. Hiding deep burrows during the day. Being able to obtain all their water from their food. Changing their bodies to never need water. Question 8: One example of how terrain can affect climate is a: Rainstorm. Tornado. Rain shadow. Desert low.

Imagine that you're moving to a new home in Arizona, near the area shown in this photo. Your new area has a warm climate. It's also very dry, and it receives little rainfall. Animals have learned how to survive without many sources of water, and plants have learned to adapt to intense summers with high temperatures.
