In this video, we're going to talk a little bit about the bystander effect, specifically the effect of group size.

So if you have a group of bystanders, say that you have two people watching an incident, will they take action, will they intervene, versus if you have, say, a group of six people, so a larger group.

And there have been a lot of studies on this, here's our six people, that show that when you have a larger group size, so the six person group versus two person group, the six person group, the larger group, is less likely to have anyone intervene as a bystander.

So as the group size increases, i guess probably the mentality is, oh, someone else will do it.

There's a lot of other people here who can take action, so i feel less responsible versus if there's only two people, you feel like you have more of a personal responsibility...
