Which of the following statements about hemoglobin is FALSE? Hemoglobin is more likely to release oxygen from its binding sites in higher pH than in lower pH. The affinity of the binding site is greater for carbon monoxide than for oxygen. The oxygen binding sites follow Michaelis-Menten kinetics. When oxygen binds to a binding site, that subunit undergoes a conformational change that alters binding at other subunits.
