So for me personally, something that i learned in psychology that was really useful in understanding my own mental health processes was erickson's stages of development.

So basically, the process of aging, developing, coming of age and growing older, from infancy all the way through adulthood in various generalized stages, you know, of two competing forces.

And so there was a part of about that theory in the stages of adolescence, which was the industry versus inferiority.

And when i learned that, i was like, that explains a lot about why i developed a lot of my perfectionistic tendencies as an adolescent, because i was looking for affirmation and validation as i was, you know, coming of age.

An eating disorder actually came out of that because of the way that i was not affirmed.

And like, my good habits were not reinforced, i didn't feel like i had enough attention...
