Audrey Forsyth, a 44-year-old female who has multiple sclerosis and walks with a cane, was in her kitchen at home deep-frying potatoes when the kettle fell over and burned her left thigh. Audrey was rushed to the ER by her husband where the ER physician, Dr. Dawkins, diagnosed her with a third-degree burn on her left thigh. Dr. Dawkins dressed the wounds and sent her to the burn unit. George DeLucca, a 45-year-old male, presents today complaining of a cough, fever, and shortness of breath. His temperature was 101.1°F. On his last visit, the physician noted George was in good health. Today, the physician did a detailed examination of the respiratory system, as well as a review of George's cardiovascular system. The physician ordered a chest X ray to rule out pneumonia and told George to return in three days to discuss the test results.
