Below that, draw two diagrams that illustrate the two different ways the chromosomes could line up in Metaphase 1 of meiosis in the F1 (product of fusion of those chromosomes/alleles that you just drew). Allow one crossing over event per tetrad. Show the chromosome complement, and genotype, of gametes produced by the F1 meioses you have drawn. Explain what effect crossing over had on segregation and gamete frequencies. List all the genotypes that are produced by fusion of F1 gametes; for one of these genotypes, show the chromosome complement(s) based on your own diagram. Show how the different genotypes produce just four different phenotypes.
