a. Reflex that assesses the nervous tissue between (and including) the C5 and C6 nerve roots.
b. It can be elicited by having your partner sit with their elbow flexed at about 90 degrees and palm facing downwards.
c. Put your thumb on the biceps (brachii) tendon at the inside angle of the elbow and press gently.
d. Tap your thumb with a reflex mallet.
e. Normal response: The biceps should twitch, and the elbow should flex.
