In the Calvin Cycle, CO2 from the AIR is incorporated into 3-Carbon organic molecules that eventually are used to make sugar. NADPH and ATP are in the stroma where the Calvin cycle happens. Ferredoxin passes electrons to NADP+ reductase and then NADPH is generated. PS I donates electrons to Fd (ferredoxin). P700 donates electrons to the reaction center in PS I. The electrons end up in Photosystem I. Photosystem II is hit by a photon of light. Energy is transferred from chlorophyll to chlorophyll inside PS II. P680 is energized and donates electrons to the primary acceptor in the reaction center. The electron transport chain begins, causing H+ pumping into the thylakoid space.
