Cell activities are strictly controlled to ensure that all body processes occur properly. Everyone communicates with each other in various ways. This communication involves certain signals / ligands / factors, receptors on the cell surface, and proteins in the cell that continue the signal so that the cell can give the correct response. Explain in simple terms how a certain signal or factor can cause a specific response so that the cell becomes active, divides, differentiates, or kills itself!
