The number of ATP molecules synthesized during anaerobic respiration is much less than that from fermentation but more than aerobic respiration. It is greater than the number of ATP molecules synthesized from fermentation and the same as in aerobic respiration. It is about the same as the number of ATP molecules synthesized from fermentation.
