In the chart below, fill in the appearance of a gram-stained slide of a gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria if the following incidents occurred during the staining process. (For example, if you did the whole gram stain procedure and realized you forgot the Gram's iodine, what color would a gram-positive be and what color would a gram-negative organism be?) Gram's iodine was omitted. Counterstain was omitted. Decolorizer was omitted. Methylene blue was substituted for safranin. Empty alcohol bottle was accidentally filled with H2O.
