Use the Artificial Selection Interactive to increase the average flowering head size of sunflowers. Select the statements that describe the change in distribution as the diameter of the flowering heads increases. The mean of the flowering head diameter increases as the variance decreases. The phenotypic variance of each genotype decreases with each successive generation. The variance increases as the diameter of the sunflower head increases. As the diameter of the sunflower head increases, the mean increases. There is no change in the variance of the sunflowers as the head diameter increases.
