00:01 Hello students, in this question they have asked to explain about the flow of csf around the brain and spinal cord.
00:08 Csf stands for cerebro spinal fluid.
00:18 This csf is produced in the ventricles of the brain specifically lateral third and fourth ventricles.
00:34 First from the lateral ventricles the cerebro spinal fluid flows through interventricular foramina into the third ventricle.
01:09 Then in the third ventricle this csf is further produced and flows through cerebral aqueduct into fourth ventricle.
01:43 Then in fourth ventricle this csf exits through three openings, the median aperture and two lateral apertures.
02:05 Then csf flow into the subarachnoid space which surrounds the brain and spinal cord.
02:20 Csf then circulates around the brain and spinal cord providing nutrients and removing waste.
02:37 Eventually this csf is reabsorbed into the bloodstream through structures called subarachnoid villi which are located in the dural sinuses.
02:56 From there this csf joins the bloodstream and it is carried away from the cns.
03:11 This is the entire pathway of the csf flow...
