Hello students, so today we are going to draw the structure of tyrosine amino acid.
00:06
The structure of tyrosine amino acid is the carboxylic acid and amine group is connected to one carbon and for the r group we have ch2, ph, oh.
00:22
Now we will draw three forms of this tyrosine acid.
00:26
One is the neutral form, one is the positive form and another one is the negative form.
00:31
So for the neutral form the r group will remain same for all the three forms.
00:45
Then for the neutral form both the carboxylic acid will form its conjugate base and the amine will form nh3+.
00:56
Since both the charges are neutralized so it is also called zwitterion.
01:04
Then for the positive form the co - will remain as cooh and the amine will be protonated.
01:16
So this is the positive form and for the negative form the cooh will remain as co - and the amine will remain as amine.
01:27
So these are the three forms of the tyrosine amino acids...
