What is something of a low ph? what about a high ph? okay, so there's a ph kind of scale that we use, and it can go higher than 14, but we usually max it out at 14, and 14 is something that's very alkali.
00:19
At the low end of the scale, again, it can go lower than one, it can go into decimals, but we usually put it down to 1.
00:27
And this is highly acidic.
00:30
So the neutral point, is in the middle, at 7.
00:34
If you go down, you get more acidic.
00:38
If you go up, you get more alkali.
00:40
So we want something very acidic and something very alkali here.
00:46
So a low ph, something very acidic.
00:51
There's plenty of examples, but let's go for lemon juice.
00:55
Anything that tastes very sour would work here.
00:58
Or you could use a more industrial acid, but we use like maybe sulfuric acid.
01:03
Or you could use stomach acid.
01:04
Because that's very acidic as well.
01:07
And that would be hydrochloric acid.
01:10
But let's use lemon juice.
01:12
A high ph.
01:14
So this is something very alkali.
01:16
Something mildly alkali would be milk.
01:20
Something very alkali, while some cleaning chemicals, like bleach, or sodium hydroxide...
