I'll admit i wish i had more of a formula to work with, but you can see some of the evidence that the directions are giving you like it's 200 here when this is a thousand, because if you add up the interest plus the principal, i'll just write p for principal, that's your total bill.
00:21
And in that instant, you can see that there's 200 plus a thousand is your total bill of 1200.
00:28
So that's how you can read your graph.
00:30
But as i move to the right, that's your very first question.
00:34
How much of the 1200 payment goes towards interest in year five? so here's year five.
00:39
You're basically looking at this part of the graph and you're estimating what this number is.
00:47
Now it's to me, it's clearly bigger than 900, but i don't know how much bigger than 900.
00:54
Like, are you thinking that's 910? so they give you that dollar sign, or do you think it's a little bit bigger, 915? and if there was a formula, i could tell you exactly what that dollar amount would be.
01:09
So i'll leave that up to you if you're going to agree with 910.
01:13
So my graph isn't really good there based off where i put 900...
