Pros of Eugenics Cons of Eugenics Eugenics attempts to remove undesirable or harmful traits for the human population by preventing those with these traits from reproducing. The problem with this is that it is immoral to tell people if they can reproduce or who they reproduce with. Also, people who support the idea of Eugenics often believe these traits are passed on simply by Mendelian inheritance. In reality, these traits are often not only influenced by genetics but by many different environmental factors such as education, diet, mental health, and more. It is difficult to eliminate a certain trait.
