Thoracic Nerves
There are 12 pairs of thoracic nerves, T1 through T12. Each nerve emerges from the spinal cord just below its corresponding vertebra. Most of the thoracic nerves do not mix to participate in
plexuses and are located between ribs. For this reason, these spinal nerves are called intercostal nerves.
Lumbar Nerves
There are five pairs of lumbar nerves. Most of the lumbar nerves unite to form the lumbar plexus (label 6), from which the large femoral
