Genetic drift
Evolutionary change within a population. Complete the following paragraph to describe agents that do not necessarily cause random changes in the allele frequencies of a gene pool, but rather changes in the environment that affect gene flow. These events can include disease, famine, and selection. Because of this, these events can impact the adaptation of the population to the environment. Although genetic drift occurs in populations of all sizes, its effect is greatest in smaller populations.
