The Gram Stain is one of the more important staining techniques used in Microbiology. Being able to identify whether an organism is Gram-Positive or Gram-Negative can be of significant importance in Microbiology lab work, both in general and in clinical settings. Be specific and highly detailed in distinguishing between Gram-Positive organisms and Gram-Negative organisms. Include main structural differences along with specific result differences that would be expected with regard to the Gram-Stain process.
