During this past summer, the CDC announced that racial disparities exist among COVID-19 patients. African Americans and Hispanics are more likely to die from COVID-19 than whites. Discuss the latest reports presented by the CDC as it relates to disparities among COVID-19 patients and provide statistics. Discuss some of the barriers to health equity. Include in your discussion the topic of health disparities. Discuss some of the ways we can promote health equity.
