1. The success or failure of social movements is determined by several factors. A crucial factor is the clarity and comprehensibility of the movement's message. Movements that effectively communicate their goals and garner ample support are more likely to succeed. It is equally important how the movement is structured and the way it acts. Well-structured movements with effective leaders and defined action plans are more likely to succeed in accomplishing their goals. Movements must also be equipped to address any issues and obstacles that arise. Movements that demonstrate resilience during challenges and flexibility in adapting plans are generally more successful in the long run.
2. Nonviolent ways offer a strong way to bring about societal change without using violence or hostility. There are several ways to do this, which include approaches like peaceful demonstrations, negotiation, and engaging in constructive conversations to defy unfair systems and facilitate significant change. Nonviolent movements depend on principles of respect, empathy, and understanding to promote change while reducing harm. Through the practice of nonviolent resistance, people and communities are able to effectively oppose oppressive systems, support human rights, and work towards achieving justice and equality.
3. Being empowered means having the confidence and knowledge, means to pursue our own goals and make changes in one's lives. When we are empowered, we recognizes our strengths and what we are capable of. We can control our life and the community around us when we are empowered. Empowerment requires breaking free from systems that limit potential, such as societal norms, discrimination, or unequal power dynamics. Empowerment involves cultivating feelings of self-worth, resilience, and belonging.
