In the problem-based learning assignments, students are expected to review each chapter on their own. Chapter 10 has 5 subsections. Each student is to identify two learning objectives for each subsection, relating to content in the chapter which is new to the student [total of 10 learning objectives for chapter 10]. The student will write the learning objectives using verbs derived from “Bloom's Taxonomy.” Through reading the relevant chapter, the student will master the concepts and be able to provide a narrative answer to each learning objective [total of 10 responses]. Within the document, the format shall be to first list the subsection, followed by a given learning objective statement, followed by the narrative answer in italics.
