Part B – The second stage in the infection process is entry. Read the Virology article through the end of section 1, on the second page of the article (page 4). Read the research article titled "SARS-CoV-2 entry in host cells – multiple targets for treatment and prevention" published in Biochimie, reading the first page of the article. For Part B, referencing the Chapter 13 material on Entry, along with the indicated parts of these articles, identify the entry mechanism used by the virus to gain entry to the host cell. Viewing the Spike protein Sequence (attached to the Assignment Folder), also identify what is unique about the region of the Spike protein termed the 'Fusion Peptide', with regards to the information from the indicated parts of the articles.
