Task
1. Statically indeterminate beam analysis. Example of solution.
2. Problem: The I-section steel beam is loaded by the distributed load q = 20 kN/m, concentrated force F = 40 kN, and bending moments M = 30 kNm (see fig.). Modulus of elasticity E = 210 MPa. Allowable stress ĆĘ = 160 MPa. Distance: a = 4 m, b = 2 m.
It is necessary:
- To determine the reactions in supports.
- To construct the M diagram.
- To construct the M diagram due to the unit force.
- To determine the angular displacement (angle of rotation) in point K by using Mohr's integral (or Vereshchagin's rule).
