Leptospirosis is a Zoonosis -a disease primarily seen in animals
that spreads to humans, caused by a a Gram-negative spirochete,
[Select] .It is an aerobic pathogen that is motile by means of two
[Select] filaments. It corkscrews its way through tissues and then
travels via the [Select] throughout the body. Virulent strains of
Leptospira make [Select] that attach to human cells. They are also

negative bacterium adhere via [Select]

much of the genital, urinary, and digestive tracts of humans. Gonococcus has cell wall antigen

sugar molecules. The cocci also protect themselves from the immune system by secreting a
[Select] enzyme that breaks down [Select] in
mucus.
