Rna is very important to cells and for protein synthesis and cellular reproduction.

So we've spent a lot of time learning about it and i'm going to break a few things down for you.

First off, there are three types of rna.

There is messenger rna or mri, ribosomal rna or r rna, and transfer rna or t rna.

So i'm going to start by talking about m rna.

Now, m rna is part of the process of transcription, which is unique to the mrna.

The other two are part of translation.

But talking about m rna, transcription is the process of basically reading the dna.

You untwist it, read one half of the double helix, and then you make a copy of that.

And we all know that the dna is in the nucleus of the cell, assuming that it has one.

And the purpose of m rna is to be a template of the dna.

So after transcription, we go to translation where we take that template of the dna, and we begin to make a protein based on that code, which is the process of translation, reading the code and making the protein.
