I believe the answer is "e" but I need confirmation. the SCN is triggered by light-sensitive retinal proteins and this trigger action will induce the SCN to suppress melatonin production. While at night, the SCN won't be triggered and thus melatonin will flow in ur bloodstream. This is a quick explanation of my perspective and this is why I chose "e".
