A. Aseptic technique: An important technique to learn to prepare for a microbiology lab is proper Aseptic technique or Sterile technique. Sterilization refers to the process by which a substance, container, etc. is made free of living microorganisms. Without effective sterilization procedures the science of microbiology would not exist. Maintaining good sterile technique is essential so that cultures do not become contaminated with new, unwanted bacteria and that your clothes, books and lab bench also stay free of contamination. This is one of the main reasons Doctors and health care professionals need proper PPE.
