Infectious mononucleosis is caused by _______ infections.
What virus causes mononucleosis? What are the symptoms of this disease? How is it diagnosed?
John N.
Mononucleosis is an infection caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, often called the “kissing disease.” It is usually seen in teens and young adults but anyone of any age can contract the virus. There is research but it is limited because mono is not a disease that must be reported to agencies during outbreaks.
