Simple cells: Specialized cells in the visual cortex that respond to lines oriented in specific ways and moving in specific directions. Complex cells: Specialized cells in the visual cortex that respond to stationary lines of a particular orientation. P-cells: Ganglion cells that receive information related to color and detail from the midget bipolar cells.
