Lots of things, lots of stressors in life can cause anxiety, but what are some ways that we can deal with them and make ourselves feel better? so one is breathing, consciously focusing on our breathing, because we can breathe involuntarily.

It just happens to occur in our bodies without us thinking about it to keep us alive, keep our functions in order.

But we can also control our breathing.

So in stressful situations, often you might find yourself panic breathing, like really, really rapidly breathing through the mouth.

Like, you're turning your body into like a fight or flight response, and that probably worsens anxiety.

Or you can slow down your breathing specifically the axils, and that will trigger your nervous system to also slow down and relax.

So by you guiding your breathing, which can also be controlled voluntarily, you're dictating to your system.

It's okay, calm down, slow down, everything is fine, your heart rate will slow down, and all of the things that are associated with panic and anxiety will sort of level off.

And another strategy is mindfulness, which can often be achieved through meditation, basically just like awareness in the present moment, the whole concept of be here now, focusing, because a lot of the times anxiety is caused by being overwhelmed by things that are outside of our control...
