Jupiter's and Saturn's Orbits
Jupiter and Saturn are two of the largest planets in our solar system. They both have elliptical orbits around the sun. The distance between Jupiter and the sun varies depending on its position in its orbit. At its closest point, called perihelion, Jupiter is about 4.95 astronomical units (AU) away from the sun. At its farthest point, called aphelion, Jupiter is about 5.46 AU away from the sun.
Saturn also has an elliptical orbit around the sun. Its distance from the sun varies as well. At perihelion, Saturn is about 9.04 AU away from the sun. At aphelion, Saturn is about 10.12 AU away from the sun.
To represent the distances in our solar system accurately, we can use a scale where 1 centimeter represents 1 AU. This allows us to visualize the vastness of the solar system and the distances between planets.
