Now take the smallest of your resistors and the light brown one. They are both specified as 1kΩ, but resistors' specified values also include and allowable error (tolerance) either side of that, as we know. Don't forget to set the DMM to the most suitable range (you should be able to read five digits).
Measured value for small resistor: Ω
Calculate the percentage difference from the specified 1000Ω and your measured value: %
Measured value for brown resistor: Ω
Calculate the percentage difference from the specified 1000Ω and your measured value: %
Which is nearer to its specified value?
