Pre-Lab Exercise 26-3 Glomerular Filtration and Tubular Reabsorption Table 26.1 lists chemicals and cells found in blood. Do the following for each item, using your textbook for reference: 1 Determine whether each listed item is filtered at the glomerulus (i.e., if it is able to leave the blood and enter the nephron to become part of the filtrate under normal conditions). 2 If the substance is found in the filtrate, determine if the substance is reabsorbed into the blood or if it is found in the urine. 3 If the substance is reabsorbed into the blood, determine where this substance is reabsorbed in the nephron (e.g., the proximal tubule, the nephron loop, etc.).
