Proteus or any circuit simulation software can be used.
The function generator is an instrument which is used to generate different types of waveforms such as sinusoidal waveforms, triangular waveforms, and square waveforms. The frequency and amplitude of these waveforms can be adjusted. Fig. 1 shows a basic circuit of a function generator which includes three stages:
1. Stage 1: square wave generator
2. Stage 2: integrator circuit cascaded with stage 1 to generate a triangle waveform
3. Stage 3: Sine wave generator
Task:
1. Inspect the given circuit or any other circuit used for a function generator to generate a square waveform, triangular waveform, and sinusoidal waveform and simulate your design on Proteus to study the above different stages. Use a bias voltage of 15V.
