Charlie is a 19 year old young man, who has been working as an apprentice plumber for the last 18 months, he still lives at home with his mother and two younger brothers, His Dad had walked out of their life when he was in the final year of school. Charlie was very affected by his father walking away from the family and experiences feelings of abandonment, as he still doesn’t really understand what had happened and his Mum didn’t talk about it. Charlie now felt that he had to be a “father-figure” to his younger brothers, and he did spend a lot of time with them, and certainly backed his Mum up around the home, and did what he could to assist his family. However sometimes he was just plain confused and felt unsure about his future, and his family relationships. One of his workmates had a big “chat” to him during “smoko” and told him a little of his own story, which had some similarities to Charlie’s, he told him he had received counselling and how it had really changed things for the better for him. Charlie got the details from his mate and said he would have a think about it. On the weekend he did a little research online, and found out a lot more about what counselling can do for people. He made up his mind that he had nothing to lose, so he rang and made his first appointment with Tone his friend’s counsellor. create a care plan

Sam, a 70-year-old man with chronic renal failure, was in for a routine visit at the hospital. Progressive destruction of nephrons leads to chronic renal failure. Sam's blood work indicated low blood pH taken and potassium levels were outside of the normal range. Sam's estimated glomerular filtration rate (GFR) was 15 mL/min with a high respiratory rate of 20 breaths per minute.2. From which part of the nephron is the majority of excess potassium normally excreted?
