Hypothesize what will happen to dye diffusing in hot versus cold water and enter your hypothesis below. Do you think diffusion will look similar or will there be a noticeable difference? How so? Hypothesis: Describe what happened to the diffused dye after 1 to 2 minutes. What happened differently in hot versus cold water? Why?

In the experiment where food coloring was added to water at different temperatures, what causes the change in the rate of diffusion of the food coloring between the temperatures?
Sri K.
Knowing that diffusion is facilitated by molecular collisions, how does the temperature of hot water affect the molecular motion of the water and potassium permanganate? 2. With time, would the beaker with the least diffusion (cold water) eventually reach the same state as the tube with the greatest diffusion?
