Scenario Technology Advanced wants to focus on building a software enterprise network that enhances their client's ability to quickly process data and monitor their company's financial performance. This effort will include research and evaluating sample use cases from businesses with a history of success in designing an enterprise network architecture. Part of the design process includes providing options for clients to determine their architecture to test their applications and databases. Researchers should also lay out industry-level business requirements that are necessary to build out their enterprise design architecture. Managers will need to review the overall structure of the proposed software architectures covering all areas of the organizations and decide how to best keep information secure when data flows outside external networks. Technology Advanced is tasked to research and provide sample use cases for their customers to test and analyze the business case for each of their choices. Instructions Section 1: Test Plan This assignment consists of two sections: a written project plan and a PowerPoint presentation. Submit the two sections using the assignment template for completion of this assignment. Write a 5-6 page paper in which you: Evaluate sample use cases from businesses that have developed a successful enterprise network architecture. Explain industry-level business requirements for enterprise design architecture. Propose how to best keep information secure when data flows to external networks. Explain how you will test and analyze the business case for each of your customers' choices. Section 2: PowerPoint Presentation You have also been asked to develop a presentation to be shown at the next software development team meeting to explain why you have chosen to implement the specific strategy outlined in your test plan. Prepare a 7-10 slide PowerPoint presentation in which you: Include the key elements of the test plan and their justifications in the PowerPoint. Create bulleted speaking notes that explain the content in the Notes section of the PowerPoint.

You are a cybersecurity specialist for a large oil and gas field services firm that frequently develops its own software. The company has over 150 locations globally and has outsourced a major portion of its IT and software development to India. All of these locations, including those in India, are on the same internal network for ease of access, even though many of them are contractors. You have been assigned the task of testing a new application to ensure that there are no security issues with it prior to go-live. Application details The purpose of the new application is to track the movement of all of the company’s trucks (semis) throughout the United States 24/7. Each truck will have a transponder that will report its location, speed, direction, and cargo (among other things). Users will be able to set a variety of filters based on what they’re looking for. The four main cargo types are all used in the hydraulic fracturing (aka “fracking”) process. They are wastewater, chemicals, explosives, and radioactive materials. The application will be hosted internally and will NOT be accessible via the Internet. However, any authenticated user on the internal network will be able to access it. A small number of employees will have admin privileges to it. Management is anxious to have this application go live so they can start saving money by making the routes more efficient. They see no issues with this application as it’s pretty simple in their eyes, so they are expecting you to provide the security approval fairly quickly. Here are the review tasks you must follow per company policy: 1. Create a test plan for testing this application a. Feel free to use the example included with this project as a template. 2. Create test cases 3. Create test cycles As you perform these tasks, be sure to include the following: ● Potential team members and what role they will play in the process. Don’t forget that some members may not be in IT. ● Accounts and access needed ● Specialized tools ● Documentation, and where it will reside ● Recording of results (how) ● Logging of bugs ● Justify why you chose a particular testing approach or methodology ● Identify risks associated with the design of the application, and recommend solutions. For example, if you believe that there is an access or authorization issue, then document the issue, the risk it poses, and recommendation(s) to fix it.

Please help me with this question: Case Project 3-6 North Ridge Security North Ridge Security provides security consulting and assurance services. You have recently been hired as an intern to assist them. North Ridge is preparing a presentation for the monthly meeting of IT programmers and has asked you to do research on attacks on software. 1. Create a PowerPoint presentation on memory leaks, buffer overflow, integer overflow, pointer/object dereference, and attacks using API, device drivers, and DLLs. Your presentation should be at least nine slides in length. 2. As a follow-up to your presentation, you have been asked to write a one-page report on race conditions. Use the Internet to research race conditions and how they can be best addressed. Thank you!
INFO 2362 Final Project 19/SS Introduction To envision everyday life presents privacy risks that cannot be ignored. Blueprints are used to identify, develop, and design security requirements for specific business needs. Security requirements are based on regulatory obligations, business drivers, and legal obligations. There are several areas that should be included in the research and design of IT resources. Scenario You work for a small boutique bakery in Omaha as the sole IT technician. Business has increased over the past year and is looking to establish the following capabilities: - Web and social media presence - Remote video monitoring of the store - Credit card processing solution There are several ways of providing these capabilities; however, each solution has some level of risk. Task Your task is to research IT solutions to establish the following capabilities: - Web and social media presence - Remote video monitoring of the store - Credit card processing solution You must research the cost of a self-hosted solution (i.e., you build the solution and provide all the hardware and support yourself). In addition to the self-hosted solution, you should compare at least two additional (but no more than four) solutions for each of the above-listed capabilities. Your research should: - Examine the costs of implementing and maintaining each solution over a one-year period - Identify and assess risks with each associated solution: - Physical Damage - Human Interaction - Equipment Malfunction - Inside and Outside Attacks - Misuse of Data - Loss of Data - Application Error Finally, you should propose a recommended solution based on your research. The recommended solution should include a security plan, which provides specific guidance on how to secure the proposed solution and/or reduce risk to an acceptable level. You must provide rationale for each recommendation. Specific guidance is key. Vague recommendations (e.g., the user should implement a firewall) will lose points. Specific guidance must include settings that are specific to the recommended solution (e.g., Windows 10: Disable Guest Account password. This can lead to the exposure or corruption of data).
