00:01 Photosynthesis the term photosynthesis denotes the process by which the food molecule is prepared by the plant and in order for the process of photosynthesis to take place in the autotrop such as plants there are certain important criteria which must be satisfied for this photosynthesis as the name states photo it requires the light energy from the sunlight this light energy when it is being taken taken in by the plants, it can be made possible only when the plants contain the chlorophyll pigmenta because these pigments are specialized for absorption of this light energy.
00:41 So it is essential the first point is light energy and the second point is chlorophyll and it also requires other substrates such as water and here water is denoted as h2o and this water will keep the plant hydrated and the fourth main component is the one which is called as the carbon dioxide which is written as co2.
01:05 So when the light energy is absorbed by the chlorophyll and when it comes in contact with the water molecule, it will be split into h plus ions and oxygen molecule.
01:14 And this oxygen molecule will be released and this h plus will be used further for photosynthesis.
01:20 And the co2 molecule will also be used in this process.
01:24 And in this photosynthesis, it can be divided into two parts.
01:28 The first one, it is called as the light reaction.
01:32 And the second one, it is called as the dark reaction.
01:35 The light reaction is the one which will happen in the presence of light...
