State the beginning reactants and the end products of glycolysis, pyruvate oxidation, the Citric Acid Cycle, and the electron transport chain/chemiosmosis. Describe where these processes take place in the cell and the conditions under which they operate (aerobic or anaerobic). based on the cytosol and mitochondria 4. Distinguish between anaerobic glycolysis and respiration based final products, lactic acid and carbon dioxide 5. Describe two other substrates for cellular respiration in addition to glucose 6. Describe how acetyl-CoA is a common intermediate of cellular respiration based on the citric acid cycle 7. Describe how the citric acid cyclic and oxidative phosphorylation are connected based on electron carriers (NADH and FADH2) and the electron transport chain 8. Distinguish the electron transport chain from oxidative phosphorylation based on the capacity to both oxidize NADH and form ATP

For each of the first three major events of cellular respiration (glycolysis, pyruvate processing, citric acid cycle), where does each occur? What are the products? Where is the energy going into each step? Where is the energy going out? Where is the carbon going in each step? Where is the carbon going out? (Fill in chart)
Write the overall equation for aerobic cellular respiration. What are the initial reactants and final products for glycolysis, the acetate step and the citric acid cycle? Describe how many total ATP's are generated during each of these phases per molecule of glucose.
