Task 2: Heat Transfer in an Aluminium Rod
You observed in the laboratory how heat is transferred through an aluminium rod. Based on the information you have collected in the laboratory, present a report that includes the aim, procedure, and results of the experiment.
The experiment was conducted as follows: First, a hot water bath was installed on the upper side of the aluminum bar. A cold water bath was installed on the underside of the aluminum rod. The immersion heater was in contact with the hot water bath to increase its temperature. Additionally, there were bits of ice in the cold water bath to reduce its temperature. Thermocouples and a digital display were used to measure the average temperature of the aluminum bar. The measurements were taken at 10 cm intervals, starting from 10 cm. A total of 7 temperature readings were recorded.
