Today we're solving problem number 16 from chapter one of the textbook, which asks, are households primarily buyers or sellers in the goods and services market, and our households primarily buyers or sellers in the labor market? so in order to figure this out, we need to understand what a circular flow diagram in economics is.

And this is a great model to start with in economics, because it pictures the economy consisting of two groups.

You have households in one group and firms in the other group.

And these two groups will interact into markets, the goods and services market and the labor market.

So in the goods and services market, looking at the circular flow diagram, we see that, so that's the general description i just gave the two different groups in two different markets, the goods and services market and the labor market.

So the direction of error shows that in the goods and services market, households receive goods and services and pay firms for that.
