The endomembrane system includes the nuclear membrane, the endoplasmic reticulum, the Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, vesicles, endosomes (vesicles formed by endocytosis) and the cell membrane. This packaging and redistribution system is how the cell ships components (like lipids, proteins, toxins, nutrients) to various parts of the cell.
