So i'm going to use google sheets for this.
00:04
So i'm going to start by inputting all of my distances.
00:11
So i'm told my miles are 439, 102, 215, 310, 406, 847, 1499, 680, 1086, 1349, 1247, 776, 950, 707, and 1105.
00:42
Then for our ticket price, we have 181, 73, 79, 293, 175, 288, 340, 219, 310, 370, 370, 373, 373, 164, 245, 189, and 245.
01:14
I'm going to make a scatter plot.
01:16
I'm going to select all of the data, insert, then chart.
01:24
And to do our equation regression line, i'm going to go to customize, series, trend line, and then to get the equation, i'll go back up to label or it's actually down to label and click on use equation and that will give us our equation for our line of best fit and i did have one mistake with the data here that should be 1349 so we know our equation is 0 .181x plus 94 .5 so our slope is 0 .181 which means for every increase in one mile the price increases by $0 .81 $181 and our y intercept is 94 .5 which means our starting cost is $94 .50...
