The materialistic worldview would have us believe that humans are nothing more than the end of an evolutionary timeline, with no inalienable characteristics that make us any more “special” than other members of the animal kingdom. However, scripture depicts humans as the pinnacle of God’s creation who share many attributes with Him (creativity, rationality, love, etc.). Pick one of God’s attributes described in scripture (with references) and highlight how we as humans exhibit this as well.

00:01 For this question, we are looking for human dignity in psalm 8 so one of the books of the holy bible psalms chapter 8 we're looking for what does this tell us about the dignity of human beings of mankind? so there's a couple different things we're gonna highlight.

00:23 So we're starting off in verse 2 we can see here that the wording tells us that human life is valuable because it brings glory to god and not only do humans bring glory to god but they can do this even when they are extremely weak or vulnerable so this particular passage talks about infants bringing glory to god even just in their cries and in their and their movements and their pure love they are able to glorify god so that's this is highlighting human beings can always give god glory no matter what their situation and even god utilizes we see this in other parts of the holy bible that god will utilize weakness and vulnerability in humans to really highlight his glory another thing that we can look at in verses 3 through 5 we see that human life is crowned with glory and honor i believe are the words in this passage so humans are crowned with glory and honor specifically by god by the trinity of god and this is not in regards to you who that person is but because of who god is so god gives humans glory regardless of who they are because they are his creation because there are his crowning glory of creation right and then in verses 6 through 8 still in psalm chapter 8 we see that humans have a divine duty of dominion over the earth and over the animals over the way that plants grow, you know, like keeping the garden kind of idea here and this is specifically over the creation god has made so he already made these things and he's given humans creative freedoms and liberties to have dominion over them to keep them and to guide them through life and so he's taken his precious creation and he's putting it underneath the power of humans, so humans have a high authority within his creation and then lastly as sort of a bonus here when we're looking at psalms chapter 8 in the broader context of the bible so i'm gonna say that we're looking at the meta narrative of the bible not just psalm 8 but the way the language that psalm 8 has highlights other passages that you see in the bible and other ideas throughout the bible where humans are saved because of jesus and so because of the sacrifice that jesus has made any human being can come to him and claim that salvation and can then have that bridge between their themselves that human and god so now there's a bridge between them...
