Regarding the microscopy. - When focusing a specimen, you should always start with which objective? - What part of the microscope can adjust the amount of light that hits the slide? - What is the function of the condenser?

On the light microscope the first lens light passes through is __________, and the first lens that magnifies the specimen is________. the condenser, the ocular the condenser, the objective the objective, the ocular the condenser, the iris diaphragm

MicroLab Tutor: Use and Application of Microscopy Where the specimen is placed for viewing Controls angles at which light rays strike the specimen Further magnifies the image and makes it viewable Raises and lowers the condenser relative to the stage Focuses light through the specimen For coarse focusing Supports the microscope The source of light Primary lens that magnifies the specimen Adjusts light coming from the source Rotates objectives into position Supports the lenses For fine focusing
